2025 Spring Semester: February 24, 2025 – June 10, 2025
Join our semester-long Youth Program for toddlers to teens of all levels and experiences. With our curriculum, students progress through each level as they gain physical skills, spatial awareness, musicality, and an understanding of the Taylor style of modern dance.
Dancers, ages 14–18, who want to follow a preprofessional track with performing opportunities can audition to join the Taylor Teen Ensemble.

Taylor Tots+
(Ages 3–4 drop-off class)
Monday from 3:45-4:30 p.m.
Session 1 (8 Weeks): February 3 – March 31
Session 2 (7 Weeks): April 7 – June 9
$200/session for returning students | $220/session for new students
All tuition and fees are nonrefundable.
Taylor Level 1
(Ages 4–5)
Through creative movement games, Level 1 students discover their innate love for movement in a nurturing environment. With a primary focus on expression of their individual voice, basic dance exercises are introduced to build the early foundations of technique.
Tuesday from 3:30-4:00 p.m.
$420/semester for returning students | $445/semester for new students

Taylor Level 2
(Ages 6-7)
Students in Level 2 focus on increasing strength, flexibility, and coordination by learning Paul Taylor’s movement vocabulary and incorporating it into their own creative movement explorations. They are further challenged to refine complex dance movements and retain longer choreographic phrases.
Wednesday from 4:00–5:00 p.m.
$420/semester for returning students | $445/semester for new students

Taylor Level 3
(Ages 8-9)
Students are further challenged to refine complex dance movements and retain longer phrases. They are introduced to more technical elements of modern dance floor work and Mr. Taylor’s choreographic style while encouraged to make individual creative movement choices as beginning dance makers.

Taylor Level 4
(Ages 10-12)
This level is geared towards middle schoolers. Students are taught longer choreographic phrases, that are more complex both physically and rhythmically. More formalized dance vocabulary and exercises are practiced, preparing students to be able recognize and execute basic modern dance technique. At this age more than one class per week is highly recommended.

Ballet
(Ages 8-18)
ADV TEEN BALLET
This class is designed for students who want to study ballet to enhance their training. Taking Ballet in addition to Taylor Modern classes is highly encouraged.
Monday from 5:00–6:30 p.m. — Adv Teen Ballet with Fabrice Herrault (Ages 13-18)
$470/semester for returning students | $495/semester for new students
CECCHETTI BALLET
Paul Taylor was a pupil of the great Cecchetti ballet teacher Margaret Craske and now Diana Byer is bringing Ms. Craske’s legacy of teaching to the Taylor School with a new program of ballet classes for children. The Cecchetti ballet classes emphasize musicality, gesture, and style, and are designed to create the most versatile artist in each child. Each class has a teaching assistant to ensure individual attention for every student.
Wednesday from 4:00-5:00 p.m. — Beg Cecchetti Ballet with Diana Byer (Ages 8-9)
Wednesday from 6:00-7:00 p.m. — Cecchetti Ballet with Diana Byer (Ages 10-12)

Breaking Basics with Lars Kong
(Ages 8–14)
Lars offers a fun and safe space for first-timers who want to take a step into the art of breaking. Students will be given basic techniques, drills, exercises, history, and the cultural background of the art and music of breaking along with methods of preventing harm to the body ensuring a safe and fun class.
Tuesday from 5:00–6:00 p.m. — Breaking Basics (Ages 8-14)

Jazz
(Ages 11-18)
Class begins with a 20 minute warmup focusing on strengthening and stretching of the whole body to prepare for athletic expression and storytelling. Moving into vigorous choreography from the Breton Follies repertoire, we focus on fluidity, precise technique, footwork, emotional narrative, and personal expression.
Tuesdays from 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. — Intermediate Jazz with Breton Tyner-Bryan (Ages 11-18)

Taylor Teen Ensemble
(By Audition Only)
The Taylor Teen Ensemble offers teenagers an opportunity to learn more about Mr. Taylor’s work through the performance of excerpts of his diverse repertory.
