The Taylor Foundation comprises Paul Taylor American Modern Dance, the Paul Taylor Dance Company, The Taylor School, and the Taylor Archives. This privacy policy is posted by the Taylor Foundation to explain how we use the information submitted to us by donors, audience members and those who access our website. At the Taylor Foundation, we understand that privacy is important, and we are committed to protecting private information that is provided to us. Please note that this privacy policy applies only to this site and not to the websites of other organizations to which we may link or that may link to us.


PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION


Membership Enrollment/Renewal

To become a member of the Taylor Foundation or to renew your membership by mail or phone, you are required to provide the Taylor Foundation with certain information, including your name, mailing address, e-mail address, phone number and, if you pay by credit card, credit card information. We may collect and save such information, except with regard to credit card information, so you are not required to submit it repeatedly, and to send you a receipt for your donation. We also use your name and address to verify your credit card for payment of your donation, as well as to mail membership materials such as the Company newsletter, and renewal reminders. We may use your phone number and/or address to contact you about your membership. To change any information provided to us please contact us through any of the means indicated in the GET IN TOUCH section below.

If you choose to make other donations to the Taylor Foundation through our website or otherwise, we will collect and save your information as described above.

The Taylor Foundation may use your mailing address and/or e-mail address to send you information about us, offers to purchase discounted tickets, or solicit donations. On occasion, the Foundation may sell lists of mailing addresses to other carefully selected organizations for remuneration, or trade lists in exchange for their lists. Donors of $250 and more are acknowledged by name in the Playbills for our New York Seasons and on our website. Should you wish, you may contact us at any time to have your name removed from any of our lists. For contact information see the GET IN TOUCH section below. You may make an anonymous donation by calling our patron services department.


Ticket Purchases

Except as described in the following paragraph, the Taylor Foundation does not sell tickets to performances of the Paul Taylor Dance Company; tickets may be purchased through the box office of, or by other means made available by, the theater where the Paul Taylor Dance Company performs, including through links located on the Taylor Foundation website. To the extent that you disclose your information to others, different rules may apply to their use or disclosure of such information. We do not control the privacy policies of others. We encourage you to ask questions before you disclose your personal information to others.

Donors of $250 or more a year to the Taylor Foundation may order their seats to Taylor performances at Lincoln Center through the Taylor Foundation patron services department. To order tickets this way, donors may provide credit card information, which may be used as described in the Membership Enrollment/Renewal paragraph above.


Communications Via the Taylor Website

When you communicate with the Taylor Foundation through the “GET IN TOUCH” function, we may add your e-mail address to our mailing lists for the purposes described above. Should you wish, you may contact us to have your name removed from our lists. For contact information see the Contact Us section below.


How We Protect Your Security

The Taylor Foundation uses Authorize.net, which provides Secure Socket Layer (SSL) software that encrypts your credit card information to enable you to safely enroll or renew online. When you enroll or renew membership online, the Taylor Foundation does not have access to your credit card information.

We also employ different security techniques to protect your personal information from unauthorized access by users inside and outside of our organization. You should be aware, however, that “perfect security” does not exist anywhere on the Internet. ALTHOUGH WE BELIEVE WE TAKE APPROPRIATE MEASURES TO SAFEGUARD AGAINST UNAUTHORIZED DISCLOSURES OF INFORMATION, WE CANNOT ASSURE YOU THAT YOUR PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION WILL NEVER BE DISCLOSED IN A MANNER INCONSISTENT WITH THIS POLICY AND MAKE NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES REGARDING THE SUFFICIENCY OR OUR SECURITY MEASURES.

The Taylor Foundation does not employ telemarketers to call its donors or ticket buyers for fundraising purposes.


How We May Share Information

We will not publish, sell, share or rent information about you in ways different from what is disclosed in this privacy policy. We may be forced, however, to disclose information to the government or third parties under certain circumstances. We cooperate with law enforcement inquiries, as well as other third parties, to enforce laws such as those regarding intellectual property rights, fraud and other personal rights. We can (and you authorize us to) disclose any information about you to law enforcement or other government officials as we, in our sole discretion, believe is necessary or appropriate in connection with an investigation of fraud, intellectual property infringement or other activity that is illegal or may expose us, or you, to liability.
