TAYLOR TEEN ENSEMBLE

Our unique program to expand each student’s experience of Paul Taylor’s movement style

Created in 2013, the Taylor Teen Ensemble is a pre-professional performing company made up of young dancers seeking advanced training and performing opportunities, ages 14–19. Members are chosen by audition for a one year commitment. In addition to learning and performing excerpts of Paul Taylor’s repertory, dancers train in advanced technical classes while developing their own artistic voices through creative composition classes. The Taylor Teen Ensemble invites young dancers to experience the broad spectrum of the dance field including its rich history and the creativity of today. In addition to performing in our own studios, the Ensemble has toured throughout the tri-state area performing in festivals, K–12 public and private schools and has performed in larger venues such as Symphony Space, Peridance Capezio Center, SUNY Purchase.

Ensemble members are required to commit to the full year and adhere to the following schedule, though schedule may be subject to change. Questions  for 2024-2025 academic year, contact [email protected].
