Our new Taylor Trainee Program is a dedicated training track offering advanced instruction in Taylor Modern technique alongside coaching in Taylor Repertoire. The program is designed specifically for recent college and conservatory graduates as well as working dancers in the field seeking to dive deeper into the Taylor style and repertoire.
About the Taylor Trainee Program: The Taylor Trainee Program will run for a 35-week season and includes:
- Three Taylor Modern classes per week (Tue, Wed, Thur: 10:00 AM -11:30 AM) taught by Taylor alumni, Artistic Director, Michael Novak and Rehearsal Director, Cathy McCann.
- One Taylor Repertoire class per week (Tue 12:00 PM -1:30 PM) taught by Taylor Alumni.
- One 3D movement assessment led by Director of Education, Amy Marshall, which provides a personalized strength training regime.
Tuition is $2,000 for the year, with a limited number of merit-based scholarships available. Program details and payment plan structures will be shared with those selected to join the program. The Taylor Trainee program will officially begin on Tuesday, September 29,2026.
Space in the inaugural cohort is limited. We encourage all interested dancers to attend.
AUDITION FOR 2026-2027 TRAINEE PROGRAM
The audition will take place on Friday, September 18th from 10:00 to 11:30 AM at Taylor Dance West and will consist of a Taylor Modern class. Director of Education, Amy Marshall, and Paul Taylor Dance Company Artistic Director, Michael Novak, along with faculty will evaluate each dancer’s technical and artistic foundation.
